NORTH BELLPORTSuffolk County Police have renewed a call for tips in a September hit-and-run for the public’s help to identify the driver of a white midsize Jeep SUV accused of striking two teenagers and fleeing the scene on September 26, 2025.

What the police say happened

Police said the hit-and-run occurred at about 9:38 p.m. at Station Road and Patchogue Avenue in North Bellport. A white midsize Jeep SUV struck two teens and then fled the scene southbound on Station Road, according to investigators.

D’Ajiah Mitchell, 15, was taken to a hospital with serious injuries. Kevin Reese, 14, was treated for minor injuries, police said.

The Suffolk County Police Department’s Major Case Unit is investigating. Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information leading to an arrest.
